About role
smartShift is seeking highly motivated, energetic and dynamic Account Executives to join the Global Sales team. Driving a deliverable-based sales process, the Account Executive is responsible for engaging new logo customers and reinforcing the close relationships with existing clients; achieving both individual, team and organizational goals.
Focus lies in providing valuable content to demonstrate smartShift’s capabilities and present the company’s added value as a long-term business partner.
Responsible for acquiring new logo accounts for the company within determined assigned territory, consistent with company assigned order entry targets.
Demonstrating smartShift’s capabilities by defining and building opportunity plans, business cases, and key sales deliverables to drive value driven sales cycles
Analyzing data and drawing clear conclusions from client data extracts
Running business case workshops to support the creation of solid (financial) business cases.
Identify market trends and develop marketing and sales initiatives
Reporting on sales activity and forecast to senior sales management
Managing fast, intricate sales cycles in a team selling environment
Skills and Experience
Mandatory skills
7+ years’ experience and track record of achievement in consulting, business development, marketing and/or sales in a new logo/hunting sales role
Ability to understand and articulate customer’s requirements in order to build solutions and benefits which (meet and) exceed customer’s expectations
Excellent presentation and listening skills to communicate effectively with multiple senior management and C-level contacts
Demonstrated quick learner and process minded
Strong team and individual worker
High energy and a positive attitude
Analytical, strategic thinker
Hands-on mentality and unafraid to take ownership
Strong computer skills (MS office)
Willing to travel 25-50% to new logo customer offices and for other business purposes including events, tradeshows
Preferred skills
Experience with using salesforce.com is a preference
Experience with SAP or in a SW work environment a plus
Candidates should be located in Japan
